What:   Rosh Hashanah
  Rosh Hashanah is literally translated as $quot;head of the year$quot;, and idiomatically refers to the Jewish New Year. The term first appears in the Tanakh, in Ezekiel 40:1. There, however, it does not refer specifically to the first day of the year, but to the "begining" of the year.
